Verifying your bank account is a one-time process that ensures you can earn, track, and withdraw your rewards securely and efficiently. The process helps prevent fraud, confirm account ownership, and comply with financial regulations.
1. Why is verification required?
- Enables Secure Withdrawals – Verification ensures that only you can withdraw funds to your linked account.
- Prevents Fraud & Unauthorized Access – Verification helps protect you from fraudulent activity and ensures compliance with financial security standards.
- Reduces Errors in Payout Processing – Without verification, your withdrawals could be delayed or rejected due to incorrect banking details.
2. How do I verify my bank account?
Verification is automatically handled when you link your bank account in the Benjamin app through Plaid. In some cases, additional verification may be required.
Standard Verification (Plaid Authentication):
- When you link your bank account, Plaid securely verifies it using your bank’s login credentials.
- No manual action is needed unless there’s a connection issue.
3. What happens if I can’t verify my bank account through Plaid?
If your bank account is not verified:
- You won’t be able to withdraw your rewards.
- Your cash back won’t be properly tracked.
- Your account may require additional security checks before processing any withdrawals.
4. How do I troubleshoot bank verification issues?
If your account verification fails:
- Please make sure you've entered the correct bank login credentials (for Plaid authentication).
- If using manual verification, check your bank statement for micro-deposits and enter the correct amounts.
- If verification is still unsuccessful, contact our Member Services team for assistance.
