How do I link or remove a bank account?

When you link your bank account to Benjamin, you can earn cash back on purchases and withdraw your earnings from Benjamin. It’s safe, secure, and easy to do!

How to link a bank account:

• Open the Benjamin app and ensure you are logged in
• Tap “Money”
• Tap “Linked accounts” and follow the prompts
• You will be redirected to Plaid
• Search for your bank or select it from the list 
• Enter your online banking login credentials (your username and password)
• Verify your identity if prompted by your bank (some banks may require two-factor authentication) 
• Once verified, your bank account will be successfully linked

Your banking details are never stored by Benjamin. All transactions are securely processed through Plaid.

How to remove a bank account:

If you need to remove a linked account, please follow these steps:

• Open the Benjamin app and ensure you are logged in
• Tap “Money”
• Tap “Linked accounts” and follow the prompts
• Select the bank account you want to remove
• Tap “Remove account” and confirm your selection

Please note:

• You can only update your banking information up to one time per month. 
• Removing your bank account will disable cash back on purchases and prevent withdrawals until a new account is linked.
• When switching accounts, please remove your old linked account and then add your new one (rather than editing the details of your old linked account).
