Thanks for your patience as you wait for your rewards! There are several reasons your transaction may be delayed or still pending, including:
Merchant or bank processing delays
Delays may occur if:
- The transaction is still being cleared with your bank or the merchant
- The retailer has not yet shipped the order (online purchases often remain “Pending” until then)
- The merchant processes in-store payments in batches
Most transactions appear in 1–7 days, but can sometimes take up to 30 days.
Plaid or banking network delays
Benjamin uses Plaid to securely track linked bank transactions. Delays can happen if:
- Your bank has not yet reported the transaction to Plaid
- Your bank is doing maintenance or having downtime that impacts data updates
- The purchase was made on a weekend or holiday, which can delay reporting times
If your transaction doesn’t appear after 7 days, try refreshing your linked account in the Benjamin app.
Gaming and offer tracking issues
For gaming challenges, surveys, or promotional offers, tracking delays may occur if:
- The game provider has not yet verified progress
- Survey responses are under review for quality checks
- An offer requires additional confirmation before crediting
Most gaming and survey rewards update within 24–48 hours, but some can take longer based on the verification process.
Receipt reviews
For receipt-based cash back, delays can happen if:
- The receipt is blurry, missing details, or does not match the offer
- Additional verification is needed to confirm eligible purchases
- A high volume of submissions are being processed

Reward approval and security checks
Delays can occur if:
- The purchase is very high-value
- There is an unusually large reward or cash back amount
- The purchase appears suspicious
In this case, Benjamin may require an additional security check to ensure the legitimacy of the transaction. Cash back will stay “Pending” until the review is complete.
What to do if your transaction is delayed
- Check the “Pending Rewards” section for estimated processing times.
- Ensure your linked bank account is still active and synced in the Benjamin app.
- Review offer terms to confirm all conditions were met.
- If the delay exceeds 7 days, please reach out to our Member Services team with:
- Transaction details (amount, date, merchant name)
- Screenshots of your purchase confirmation or receipt (if applicable)
