Why are my rewards pending?

When you earn rewards through Benjamin, they may appear as “Pending” before they become available for withdrawal. This ensures transactions are properly validated before funds are added to your account.

Here’s the expected timeframe for processing your rewards:

• Gaming, surveys, and small cash back transactions: 2-7 days 
• Shopping cash back: 7-30 days, depending on the store
• High-value purchases and promotional rewards: 7-20 days

What to do if a transaction is delayed:

• Ensure your linked bank account is still active and synced in the Benjamin app
• Review the offer terms to confirm all conditions were met

• If your reward is still “Pending” beyond the expected timeframe, please contact Member Services for assistance, with:

  • Transaction details (amount, date, merchant name)
  • Screenshots of your order confirmation or receipt (if applicable)

Common reasons why rewards may be pending:

Merchant verification

For cash back rewards earned from purchases, the store must confirm that the transaction meets the eligibility requirements before sending your cash back. This can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on the store's processing time.

Plaid or banking network delays

Benjamin uses Plaid to securely track linked bank transactions. Delays can happen if your bank has not yet reported the transaction to Plaid, maintenance or downtime is affecting bank data updates, or the purchase was made on a weekend or holiday.

Gaming offers and surveys

For gaming rewards, your progress must be verified to ensure you have completed the required tasks. Some game rewards are unlocked instantly, while others take longer. Similarly, survey rewards may take some time to process, especially if a survey provider needs to verify responses before approval.

Receipt scanning and purchase tracking

When you upload a receipt, the system must verify that it is a valid transaction and matches an eligible cash back offer. This process can take up to 48 hours and may take longer if additional review is needed.

High-value rewards and security checks

For large reward payouts, additional security checks may be required to ensure that all earning conditions have been met. These reviews are done to keep the platform fair, safe, and secure.
